How to take point commissions and still earn REAL FRESH MONEY!

What you need:

Be a Premium Member BETA TESTER
Have a Paypal

That easy!

However if you are going to do this dA takes a part of the money you earn. Around 20 Points on Every 80 points [I think]
Which makes you earn only 60 points even if you sell for 80.
That´s why I suggest you think that 1 Dollar = 100 points
Instead of 80, that way you won´t lose anything on it. *w*

How to do it!

You need to upload your picture to Sta.sh

Then Click on the Uploaded picture in your Sta.sh.
It should look something like this.

Then you click on the select CATEGORY
It is above the description

Then you should end up HERE

Until you come to THIS

Here you see down to the left «Generate earnings»
And beneath «Sell downloads as premium content»
Select THAT BOX

And it will look like this!
Here you decide how much to sell your picture for.
As I said dA «takes» 20 points/ 0.20 $ so I suggest to think that 1 $= 100

If you are selling a piece that is a commission for example I suggest that you crop the picture to the extreme or something until the person has Bought it!
OR make a picture beforehand that says «PAY FOR COMMISSIONS HERE»
You can always change how much it should cost, so you can change it for every commissioner

That way the Da points come to use again for real purpose!
HOWEVER
You cannot withdraw your money to PayPal until you have earned at least 5 $

How do I see my earnings?

You go to this box. And down to the right you can see «MY EARNINGS»
Click there!

В чем, собственно, плюсы виджета?
Во-первых, через него удобно отслеживать все ваши заказы, отклонять или принимать их, не вступая в длительные беседы с заказчиком. Как делать оформление, думаю, разобрались все (если нет — скажите, и я дополню урок).
Во-вторых, что я считаю главным плюсом подобного расчета, это возможность выводить Points через PayPal. То есть, реальные деньги, которые вы можете тратить за пределами DA.

Единственный минус, DA берет небольшую коммиссию за такой вид торговли артом. Поэтому, если вам нужны только пойнты, то советую брать старым-добрым способом через прямой перевод со страницы на страницу. об еще одном минусе упомяну немного позже.

Итак, вы одобрили поступивший заказ и сразу же видите, что баланс ваших пойнтов не увеличился.
Дело в том, что при снятии с заказчика суммы, она поступает не на ваш общий баланс, а во вкладку Shop — Earnings. Вам придет уведомление от DA.

Мы заходим туда и видим таблицу наших поступлений. Конвертировать заработок в пойнты вы не сможете в течении 2-х недель. Это сделано для защиты от махинаций со внутренней валютой. Это и является вторым минусом, о котором я упоминал. Если вам хочется иметь пойнты на балансе сразу, то лучше брать оплату через простой перевод.
В таблице мы увидим время, через которое мы сможем конвертировать деньги в пойнты или реальные деньги (напомню, что конвертация в реал возможно только с баланса в этой вкладке; то есть, если вы конвертируете заработок в пойнты, отменить это будет сложно).

Конвертация в пойнты после 2-х недель выглядит так. Все просто.

Конвертация в реал выглядит так. Хочу заметить, что минимальная сумма для перевода на PayPal — 5$. Так же взимается комиссия за конвертацию.

Дорогие мои товарищи, понимаю, что давно не писала здесь, но коли кто увидит эту запись и в курсе моей загвозки, прошу помочь.
У меня тут завалялась небольшая сумма поинтов, хочу вывести их через ПейПал. НО:
1) Я упорно не вижу кнопки как конвертировать поинты в доллары. Обратно есть, а именно поинты в доллары не вижу. Раньше точно помню, делала. Сейчас это возможно?
2) Когда я ввожу свои данные на пейпале в форму ДА (имя и фамилию) и на русском, и на английском, выдается ошибка что-то в роде данные не найдены, словно не видит мой акк и просит зарегистрироваться на ПейПале.

Кто-то сталкиваться с подобным?
Спасибо заранее.

Просто оставлю коммент для тех кто натыкается на эту тему, потому что мне поступают через нее вопросы до сих пор.

Поинты на ДА можно вывести только если они были получены через виджет. Если поинты были получены простым переводом или обменом ллам на поинты, то эти поинты можно использовать только на самом сайте. Чтобы увидеть ваши поинты полученные через виджет вам нужно навести мышку на аватарку в правом верхнем углу и там в появившемся списке выбрать вкладку Earnings. Вот здесь все что вам нужно для работы с вашими заработанными поинтами. Здесь вы можете увидеть все операции что были сделаны, сумму, а также настроить вывод. Хочу учесть что вывести меньше 5 баксов нельзя, а также перевод из поинтов в деньги будет идти 2 недели(я давно не пользовалась, но так всегда было). Вывести поинты можно вроде бы только на Пейпал, поэтому просто следуйте тому что скажет вам сайт когда нажмете Withdraw by PayPal из списка слева. Также раньше всем пользователям без core membership приходилось еще платить комиссию ДА при переводе, не говоря уже о том, что конвертация поинтов в деньги берет некоторый процент.

Чтобы настроить виджет для получения поинтов для перевода в деньги перейдите на вашу главную страницу, выберите вкладку Shop — Commission- «Commission +Add new» и настраивайте нужную вам сумму и данные.

[ З А Г Р У З К А ] Что делать, если при попытке опубликовать изображение на DA возникает ошибка?

ВОПРОС: При загрузке изображения постоянно выскакивает такая ошибка («Oops»). Что делать?
ОТВЕТ:
1. Проверьте подтверждена ли почта.
2. Проверьте скорость интернета.
3. Попробуйте выполнить загрузку в другом браузере.
4. Пробуйте загружать работу сначала в sta.sh, а потом отправлять на Deviant Art.
5. Пробуйте использовать VPN.
6. Если у вас активирована блокировка всплывающих окон — отключите ее.

7. ВНИМАНИЕ! Если ни один из вышеперечисленных вариантов вам не помог – смело пишите в техническую поддержку сайта (https://contact.deviantartsupport.com/en), четко описывая вашу проблему!

Пример диалога с технической поддержкой при выявлении этой ошибки:

1) Расписываем проблему: Hello! After uploading the image and clicking the «Send Now» button, I see an error screen. The image does not load in the gallery, but saved in stash. This lasts about 2 weeks. I use Win 10 and Opera browser, but tried Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Need your help!

2)На что нам приходит ответ: Thanks for the inquiry. We’ve made some adjustments behind the scenes and you should be able to post correctly moving forward. Sorry for the inconvenience. Вот и весь диалог.

As of Jan 2013 DeviantArt introduced a way to generate earnings using either st.ash or uploading DA deviations as Premium Content. my.deviantart.com/art/Selling-… (This also applies to the Commission Widget ) This allows you to earn money by selling additional downloadable content or services. It can be withdrawn as real world currency or converted back to DA It is important to know when uploading Premium content values you are only accounting for your «Gross Earnings» at the time of upload. This is the value before the 20% tax gets taken out. This calculator accounts for your «Net Earnings». Net (or Nett) refers to the amount left over after all tax deductions are made. If you are uploading Premium Content or offering Commissions please account for the 20% tax before you use this calculator.

100 = 1$ (is your Gross Earnings) only before the 20% tax gets taken out. After 80 = 1$ (is your Net Earnings).

Your Net Earnings is the actual value points are worth across DeviantArt. When you click on the «shops tab > Points Balance» it will show your net points total for your account.

Basically what you need to do is find out what you want to charge per transaction and add 20%. Mapped out here is the first $100 with the added 20% conversion. In other words if you want to make 5 dollars, you would actually charge 6.25 So on and so forth.

Part of the reason why I’ve strayed away from doing point commissions on DA is because I’m really not good at math. Figuring out the conversion rate between USD amount into DA points takes me about 2-5 minutes per calculation. (I have to usually triple check my math ) Which is why this calculator was born! My husband did the coding for it and I designed the interface and how it functions. There is one other Deviant art point converter fav.me/d30haz0 but I wasn’t happy with the drop down feature as its function wasn’t really necessary. Important things to note, we tested this calculator on many of the items in the DA store. All the calculations came out correctly with out the round up feature.

When using this calculator you need to use the decimal to indicate cents. Using no decimal will indicate just the dollar amount.

Regarding different country’s currency’s

Its been suggested by multiple people that there should be different currency’s represented by this calculator. We actually planed to do this but hit a pretty major road block. Since the currency exchange rate changes daily, we would have to pull the numbers daily as well for the equation to work. Right we’re now not sure how to do this or even if it is possible. So for now I suggest using Oanda currency converter www.oanda.com/currency/convert… after using this point conversion calculator.

Thank you for the DD and all the wonderful comments! Honestly it was a surprise. I just wanted to make an easy to use converter which has a simple to use interface with no buttons, drop down menus or fuss. I hope this will serve the Deviant Community well!

Version number and Bug Notes

v1.6 My previous versions had the entire thing working with numbers. When dealing with numbers, it makes adding a 0 behind a decimal somewhat difficult. I’m sure there are a thousand easier ways to do it but this was seems to be working with flying colors. Now it works using strings instead of numerical values. I converted the string into a number and run the math. Meanwhile, I have all these checks on the string to make sure the number fields look exactly how its intended to be used. I also changed the way it hunts for zeroes and decimals which makes it much more efficient.

In short re-wrote most of the engine for these fixes. Thanks to Tekarah, murisakii, oujinx, Dediggefedde, Elemental-Quest, and jujukittychick for the bug reports. If anything else seems wonky please let me know in the comments below.

v1.5 — Thanks for the DD! and with more eyes means more bugs to debunk!

Kodai-Az-Kite reported the over 9000 bug. To where if you typed in $112.52 it should = 9001 but instead gave you 9001.6. This was an easy fix, a rounding calculation was disabled in version 1.4 so we just re-enabled it.

cybertim reported the endless zero bug to where 00100 = 5120, while 100 = 8000. This was a bit more complex to fix. Not to say anyone would really need to put 000 before the number but if you did it broke it. So the fix was to convert the number into a string and put it back in. Hopefully this fixes the issue while not breaking anything else.

v1.4 — Allows for you to copy and paste the content. Didn’t allow you too in older versions.

v1.3 — Fixed the crappy backspace to 0 issue. Now you can type in the field boxes without getting the hang up.

v1.2 — Made a edit if you want to know how much DA Points are worth in dollar amount you can type in the DA Point text field. Auto highlight in text field is now active. However this change is a little weird in that if you backspace the 0 the file can hang up a tad. If this happens click in the field to reactive it or ctrl+a to auto select.

v1.1 — Small bug, if you typed in a dollar amount with characters exceeding 13 spaces, DA point value showed decimal places. Quick fix this version limited how many characters you type in the USD field box. Bug reported by 10Sly10

V1.0 — DA Alpha launch original version
